Vilma Lehtiö

Vilma is a team member at Transval's industrial service centre in Hyvinkää. The centre serves especially export industry companies in project logistics, warehousing and assembly.

"I started in 2021 at the service centre as a small collector and also did pallet and small packaging, I learned to drive a high collector. The foreman at the time saw potential in me for other jobs and I got to do administrative work as well. In January this year, I was promoted to team member."

Through Transval's own Academy, Vilma also had the opportunity to complete a vocational qualification in service logistics through an apprenticeship - an additional qualification that is very welcome and necessary in addition to the matriculation examination.

Today, Vilma's job involves guiding, supporting and helping employees to succeed in their jobs and get things done on time. In addition to meeting and serving customers, Vilma also handles the picking and packing of products herself.

"Every day I feel good coming to work. We have a really good working atmosphere and everyone gets on well with each other. Working days are full of laughter and jokes. Even if someone's having a bad day, they'll still have a smile on their face throughout the day. A relaxed atmosphere without unnecessary drama + company parties are always really good."

In her spare time, the very energetic Vilma goes to the gym and meets friends. She particularly enjoys the car events that start in the spring.

"I like working at Transval because there are good career opportunities and every day is different. There is a wide range of opportunities to learn new skills and to train alongside work through the Transval Academy. We also have good staff benefits."
